Pretzel-peanut butter cake

Hi everyone!
I found this amazing cake on www.thedomesticgeek.com. It tastes gorgeous and I like to prepare it for friends. Most certainly it has some calories in it but it is worth every single one of them! The idea of using pretzels as a crust might seem weird at first, but the combination of the salty pretzels the creamy filling and the sweet chocolate is amazing! So, here is the recipe:

Crust:
Preheat the oven to 180°C or 350°F.
4 cups pretzels             crush until very fine either in a food processor or in a blender.
¼ cup sugar                  add
¼ cup of melted butter add very slowly. What I like to do is to mix the butter and the crumbles in the pie pan. It will mix easier and I will have fewer dishes to wash later.
Press the mixture on the bottom and to the sides of the pan and bake it for 10-15 min. Let it cool completely before you add the filling!

Filling:
1 cup cream cheese       mix
1 cup smooth peanut butter add
1 cup powdered sugar   add
1 tbsp vanilla extract      add
1 cup whipping cream    whip and carefully fold under the rest of the filling. Don’t
overmix! Add the filling to the crust that has cooled down by now.

Topping:
½ cup pretzels, crushed  add on top
¾ cup chocolate chips    melt over the water bath. Then the chocolate should be
drizzled over the cake. Finally keep it in the fridge for or freezer for
2h. But it is best when frozen!

Maybe you’ll give this delicious recipe a try. All your friends will love you for it!

All the best!

Stefanie
