I this is my new weekly series that I call “Have an attitude of gratitude”. It is meant to inspire you to pay more attention to the good things in life. Gratitude is very important to me. In fact, I believe that it is one of the four pillars for a happy life. As I mentioned in the post "How we sabotage our aims in life", it is very important to feel that we are in charge of our lives. At the same time, I believe that it is important to be grateful for what we have already. Without gratitude, we will never properly appreciate what we have in life. We might be in charge of our life but we don’t value what we achieve. Since I learned to practice gratitude when I was in Bali, I am much happy because my attention is naturally drawn to all the positive things that happen every day. Somehow this weekly series is something I do for myself, as a constant reminder to see the good things that are present in my life. So, this is my week of gratitude:
We had a “fail barbecue” with friends. None of us brought enough food and still we managed to prepare a delicious meal from leftovers.
The mini cheesecake a friend baked for me as a thank you for a favor that I did to her.
I donated a few things that I don’t need to charity. My flat is much neater now and I hope I made some people happy.
Buying some nice furniture and having friends over to watch trash TV in the evening.
I redecorated a wall in my flat because I somehow felt like I needed a change. Now, the decoration is much more modern and I like it much better.
Seeing a friend from Munich again and we had a nice evening in the beer garden; Also I discovered flash tattoos and now I’m addicted :D
It was my birthday! So, I had a nice birthday brunch and then we went to a festival. This day was so nice and I’m very grateful for all the people who congratulated me, for the great presents, for all of my friends and for an amazing family!
I hope I could inspire you to pay more attention to all the good things in life!
All the best!
